As one of the leading service providers for the refining process of green coffee, CR3-Kaffeeveredelung M. Hermsen GmbH supports the global coffee industry with a range of processes in the field of decaffeination and steaming. Additionally, the company offers warehousing and logistics services. Together with CR3-Analytik, the company is part of the Hermsen Group: the Hermsen Group has been in the coffee business for over 80 years and, in addition to coffee expertise, stands for social and environmental commitment. The Manfred Hermsen Foundation has been continuously promoting projects of this kind both within and outside the coffee world for several decades.

    The WG 13 of the European Standards Institute CEN develops both horizontal and vertical methods for the analysis of old and new process contaminants, such as pesticides, MOSH/MOAH and acrylamide.

    SC 15 is responsible for the global standardisation of coffee and coffee products, covering in particular the production chain from green coffee right through to the consumer. Standardisation includes terminology, sampling, test methods and analyses, product specifications and requirements for packaging, storage and transport.
